Cala Macarelleta is a small beach, about 10 minutes walk from Cala Macarella. It is a superb option if Cala Macarella is full.
Like its big sister, it has turquoise waters, which make it one of the most beautiful beaches in Menorca📷. The sand goes from the shore to the forest, creating a small dune.
It is a great area to practice snorkelling, with a great diversity of marine fauna. Sandy areas and Posidonia meadows surround this beach. This alga is partly responsible for the fact that Cala Macarelleta has such transparent and beautiful waters.
One can also try a bit of hiking. There is a beautiful dirt road, camí de cavalls, which goes around the whole island, and with which you can climb some hills to take some more fantastic photos.
